Improper fractions and mixed numbers

In math if you are changing a mixed number to a improper fraction you multiply the whole number and the denominator and add the numerator and keep the denominator in the improper fraction. Example: 2 4/5 5x2 +1=11/5

If you are changing a improper fraction to a mixed number you have to divide the denominator by the numerator to get your whole number then use the remainder as the numerator and keep the denominator.
Example: 11/5  2 1/5
