Integers

This week in Math, we are adding and subtracting integers.
I'm going to teach you.
Adding Integers

If you had a question like this: (+4)+(+7)  al you have to do is add the two numbers. It's the same when both numbers are negatives.
But when you have a question like this: (-3)+(+4)  it is easier to draw a diagram rather than doing it in your head. You would draw like this: --- ++++. You would cancel out the 3 negatives with the 3 positives. You have 1 positive left so your answer is (+1).
You must always put integers in brackets.

When subtracting integers, it's easy to if you know how to add.
If you had a question like this(-4)-(+6) you would keep the first integer the same and change the subtraction sign to an addition sign and make the last integer the opposite.
