Spelling

This week in spelling we had tough words and I don't even know what some of them mean.  There are three words that I don't know the meaning of.
The three words are: resides, trifle, and preside.
Resides means: to live in a place for an extended period, or makes ones home.
Trifle means: a small amount.
Preside means: to act as a chairperson.
