Dividing by a Power of Ten

Today I learned how to divide by a power of ten. To do this you take a number it can be a  decimal number too and you would divide it by a power of ten. A power of ten is 10,100,1000 and theres more. You take the number 643 and divide it 100  so you would imagin there is a decimal behind the number and you would move it over to the left by how many zeros there are in this case theres 2 zeros. So take the number 643 and move the decimal to the left 2 times and you will have the answer.

Example:                                       643 divided by 100

Put a decimal behind the number    643.

Move the decimal 2 times to the left  6.43

and then you have the answer     6.43
